Excellent! Great memory!

+Extremely welcoming and helpful staff! Very clean and comfortable rooms. A bit outdated but fully functional. Magnificent terrace of the restaurant where we ate very well. Very beautiful wooded park. Plenty of free parking space. We couldn't take advantage of the swimming pool which was being repaired.

-It was very hot in the rooms. Luckily there was a fan! There was a wedding and the kids made a lot of noise right under our window until late at night. This is not the responsibility of the hotel (or only partially), but the responsibility of the parents.

-The set is superb, a bit old on the whole but very nice. A sign for the respect of noise in the wellness area would be appropriate for some residents of the hotel who do not understand the concept of not shouting and jumping into the swimming pool.

Quite a disappointing stay for a hotel of this category.

-The room, we had a room in the annex which was not very big and especially with a very low ceiling (it was earlier a good room style and not a 4 star room). We passed quite a few staff who did not consider it necessary to say hello. In the evening at the restaurant, we had rosé champagne as an aperitif. The first two glasses we were served were without bubbles, after complaining, we replaced our glasses but the champagne was still not good. After dinner, we went to the bar where I had a glass of Muscat de Frontignan and was served a 5 cl glass. After complaining, I was served a normal sized glass. The meal was very good and the table service correct. The bathroom was not very clean, limescale and mold all over the shower.

-The quality of services is insufficient for this rank… No air conditioning in the room, a “strange” duvet with “pieces of plastic” inside, dust on the fan, sheep in front of the elevator, 3 handkerchiefs paper in the bathroom, no bath mat the first night… in short, details that ultimately make the difference with a luxury hotel.

Good overall stay but unfortunately a bit disappointing.

+I really liked the character of the facade of the Château, the tranquility of the surroundings, the charm of the large main room, as well as the fact of being able to benefit from a sauna and a swimming pool. I liked that the bathroom has both a tub and a shower. The bathroom and bedroom were a good size. In addition, the bedding was very comfortable and the room had a nice view of the park at the back of the Château (reserved within the Château and not in the annex, on the advice of a friend). We enjoyed hearing the birdsong in the morning. The entrance to the hotel is also majestic.

-Many things could (should) be improved. I like the charm of the old (architecture, furniture, etc.) but less the old-fashioned and damaged decoration of a few decades ago (stained carpet, dirty tapestries, old-fashioned windows and paintings, etc.). Many pieces of equipment were partly defective (shower holder detached from the wall, half-broken taps, problem with the finishes of the toilets, etc.) and the cleanliness was not impeccable (traces and dust on the toilet paper holder, the lamps, etc.) . Furthermore, the prices for room service and the restaurant are too high in relation to the quality of the food and services and the staff lacks a bit of professionalism (it does not facilitate the passage of customers from the restaurant to the bar, argues in front of customers regarding reservation and communication problems between them). The spa was quite disappointing (only a small sauna for 2 people and a swimming pool within an area that deserves to be renovated). Finally, pay attention to the location if you don't have a car because the hotel is quite isolated and there are few taxis - or very expensive if booked through the hotel (30€ for a 5min trip and with more than 30min wait before arrival). Too bad, because the potential of this place is enormous.

The desserts are absolutely not sweet and do not correspond to the description. The dessert named the squirrel was covered with the syrup which decorated the dish and brought a taste of fruit instead of a chocolate taste. no action taken. The service at the reception indicated that customer service would come back to us but this was not the case.

On the other hand, very good advice from the staff and in Chantilly, many places. I temper: a high chair was given to us for breakfast. Everyone was very smiling. Perfect for toddlers. Less for older children.

However, a few days before the date, I received a phone call to tell me that the hotel swimming pool was closed for repairs...WITHOUT ABILITY TO CANCEL THE RESERVATION, I WAS OFFERED TO GO TO THE SWIMMING POOL MUNICIPAL NOT VERY FAR ........Also, it was indicated to me that there will be a baptism in the living rooms, but that they will try to moderate the noise. On site: the rooms are not very large as in other establishments presented in the same category. The decoration and the lingerie of the rooms deserves a big renewal. In the heat, staying in the room was unbearable. The houses had old fans that broke down in the middle of the night of the second day... The hair dryers in the bathrooms were obsolete and disassembled like puzzles...

A quiet and comfortable stopover with top-notch staff

+The must of this hotel is dinner on the terrace, when the weather is nice, in front of the big trees in the garden. The staff is very nice and you feel in a beautiful place in the 19th century.

-Unfortunately, the indoor pool is closed. No outdoor pool either or really a place to bask in the sun apart from outside. No terrace for the rooms either, alas. The windows are small, the water jet a little skinny and the toilet flushes poorly. Apart from that, the weather was magnificent and the forest of Chantilly splendid at the end of May.

A beautiful hotel in Ile de France

+35 km from Paris, this grand hotel deserves its 4 stars. Beautiful reception, attentive staff and a dining room with a magnificent terrace. Rooms in the chateau and rooms in the annex near the indoor pool/spa with star-shaped lights on the ceiling... good mattress. Tennis court a little further. The castle is surrounded by trees. A bar with welcoming tables and armchairs at the entrance and open until after midnight. A very hearty breakfast for 20 euros sometimes included in the price of the room. At lunch and dinner tasty dishes, fine plates, good wines. A beautiful atmosphere that leaves a memory.

-The smell from the nearby swimming pool. The interior decoration of the rooms in the annex which are very comfortable, but which do not leave enough room for the windows. In the bathroom there are no shelves near the sink.

Disappointing for 4 stars

-The materials used for the extension of the castle are NOT of good quality AT ALL. This gives a formula 1 hotel appearance to the standard rooms of the castle. Rooms which deserve better soundproofing because you will hear everything... A quick step parquet floor at 35 euros per square meter accompanied by a Persian carpet in the corridors does not would not be too much. A few cornices and painting on plaster and not on horrible paint paper would also not be too much. The spa has what it takes on paper. On the ground, same concerns. Poor quality materials. A really not warm atmosphere because of too much volume. Reduce the ceiling height with a larch ceiling. A floor with a large slab in your stone tone and a beautiful play of light could make the spa look completely different for not very expensive. The breakfast buffet is certainly not lacking in choice. It is better to reduce the choice and offer homemade. Whether it's juices but also pancakes or brioches. Which could be thawed better because the heart can sometimes still be thawed. Beware of coatings that are peeling off in certain places. The ceiling of the dining room under the mezzanine is a plastic stretch ceiling. The moldings around are not properly finished. Too bad for a 4-star castle with an exterior that sells dreams, unfortunately not up to the interior.

-The sliding front door was broken. it can happen but it is a pity that with several people at the reception who are not particularly busy, none of them bother to come and open them for you, even when you leave with your luggage… the most negative point is the breakfast which is not at all up to the standard of the hotel or its price. the pastries (defrosted) were very (too) warmed up, the bread tasteless, the industrial fruit juices. what a pity that the hotel is not able to provide bread and pastries from the bakery!
