+We appreciated the upgrade to a room with a view of Place Sainte Catherine and the church! Perfect central location for visiting Honfleur on foot. Excellent products at breakfast. Good restaurant in a warm setting with a cozy atmosphere. Nuxe products in the room and Spa in the hotel. Pleasant staff.
-Room 23 overloaded with furniture, oversized bed for the room, odds and ends furniture, without charm and difficult to use because very little space (the chairs bang against the bed, the TV is placed on a piece of furniture parallel to the bed and not opposite, a “picture” hung on the level of the cushions above the bed, impossible to open the suitcases…) Smell of humidity in the room and the spa. Carpet on the floor in the bedroom and in the SPA! (average for treatment cabins) Noisy VMC above the bed. Breakfast hours too late! (8:00 a.m.) Very dirty breakfast buffet dishes! Coffee capsule too bad. Parking far from the hotel. No elevator! (medium when you have to carry your suitcase yourself to the 3rd floor and the hotel is a maze of stairs). In summary, the hotel would be full of charm due to its building and its location if we had wanted to squeeze in fewer rooms and that they be better equipped and decorated.

+The location of the establishment in the heart of the city of Honfleur is a plus for this establishment. The welcome was perfect even if we had not been told beforehand of the limited number of parking spaces. The staff is also very attentive and attentive to customers.

Apart from the location already mentioned in the qualities, the rooms are standard and do not include any elements that could justify such a price (Bed, 2 armchairs, bathroom, TV, etc.) even no auxiliary heating in the room of bath. Access to the room is also not the easiest (2nd floor without elevator and picturesque stairs, hum hum) and the environment is noisy (the surrounding streets are covered with cobblestones amplifying the noise of garbage cars and other vehicles, not to mention the bell tower of the church which is really very very close. Hotel, restaurant SPA, except that there is no spa. There is the possibility of receiving treatments (massages) and there there is a hammam. Apart from that nothing else. My wife who does not like to be massaged had thought of enjoying a spa while I was having a massage but the facilities do not reflect the name, too bad. The service of the breakfast is not up to 4 stars either. It is a buffet where the food is of very good quality. Unfortunately you always have to ask for it to be replenished. Tea bags missing from the coffee machines that were blocked because they had not been emptied, through the missing orange juice, the missing charcuterie or the pastries that you have to wait for, we are far from a 4-star service.

+Perfect location to discover Honfleur. The room is spacious and quiet (house separated from the main house), very pleasant shower and bath. The breakfast is very varied and good (even if it is a bit expensive)
-The service as a whole is not at the level expected for a 4 star and for the price of the room. 1 single 50cl bottle of water for 2, sponge forgotten in the sink when cleaning the room, common room of the house "available" but in which the fruit, juice, water... were empty on our arrival and remained so for the 2 days of our stay. The room is 200m from the main house and gives the impression that no one passes. Deplorable hotel restaurant experience. Breakfast very good but that there are no more pastries is not acceptable for a breakfast at 24€. Our table was cleared while our coats were still there and we were simply at the buffet (while other tables remained dirty for more than 40min...). We had reservations for dinner at the restaurant at 20 p.m., we were called to ask us to change the schedule to 19:30 or 21:30 p.m. because there are too many reservations. The couple next door confused restaurant and room embarrassing everyone (including the waitresses) by loudly kissing. The food is good, but the service leaves something to be desired, waitress who did not know how to open a bottle of wine, glass of champagne ordered with the dessert which never arrived... Many small things which are not in line with a restaurant that offers dishes at 30-50€ without a menu.

+Being a very regular customer, I love the setting of Golf Barrière. The countryside/sea view is quite unique, I regularly stay in an Executive Sea View Room (42m2), a very comfortable category with an exceptional bathroom. I appreciated that the establishment granted me the exact room I wanted, the room service is well managed. The hotel has benefited from a recent renovation with the Normandy Barrière.
--Empty mini bar in the room (I called room service to come and fill it, I was told that this service will only be available from March 2023 ..) -Electricity is cut twice in my room (restarted in 25 minutes, quite disturbing) -Had to call room service to put coffee capsules back every day …

They refused to serve me tea at 14:30 p.m. on the terrace, which was empty, on the pretext that it was reserved for serving lunch until 15 p.m. The room manager was arrogant and aggressive without name, preferring to hide behind "directives from management" rather than showing discernment in the face of a customer and an empty terrace. When contacted about this, customer service never bothered to respond. Access to the spa and the fitness room is limited only once, unlike other barrier establishments, or other identical establishments. We had to do our sports session outside the establishment. The rooms with recent furniture and very comfortable bedding are spacious and very pleasant. The meals are delicious, rather refined (but sometimes we would have liked a fruit salad instead of pastries, even if they were very good), the very popular all-you-can-eat cheese platter, and the perfect breakfast. Cindy was responsible for introducing us to the different areas of the hotel as well as our room. We saw her again later on other occasions and we would like to thank her for her availability, her kindness, her professionalism and her smile! The room was very well located: facing the sea! The bedding is good and the queen size bed offers top quality sleep. The bathroom, although small, is functional and sufficient. Nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness The hotel is located facing the sea with direct private and secure access to the beach! In the morning we had breakfast at the hotel and what a joy to have a coffee by the sea in the sun. The restaurant has stunning views and you also have wooden tables outside (our choice for finishing the coffee). There is a wide sweet and savory choice made up of fresh products. You can also enjoy the aquatic area which offers an indoor heated swimming pool ideal for lengths and also an outdoor pool with 3 slides to amuse young and old. The jacuzzi will come to settle the moment of relaxation. If you wish, you also have a spa that you can privatize for 45 minutes (no better value for money has been found). At noon you have the possibility to eat on site thanks to the chef's cuisine and his local menu made of fresh products at a reasonable price given the quality. In the evening we had a drink at the hotel bar and you can borrow board games or play table football or billiards. We would like to especially thank Susan, Cindy, Angélique and also those who allowed us to spend a pleasant weekend! We know the region well and we really recommend this establishment to which we will return very soon! Thank you !

A projecting suspended piece of furniture: a trap for people over 1,70 m tall! A little old-fashioned velusques could not stifle the gusts of wind that accompanied our stay. With a little imagination these problems can easily be solved... To end on a good note the breakfast is at the top and the region is worth lingering over.

-There are no courtesy trays in the rooms, no small fridge, which is surprising for a 3-star hotel. We had requested a top floor room and got a 1st floor room. It was impossible to change when the hotel was not full. Also on the last day, it was pouring rain, we couldn't get a breakdown umbrella to load the car. Customer service can therefore be improved for a 3 star.

An exceptional site in the dune with a charming little sandy path to go directly to the sea. In the evening, relax on the benches at the end of the lawn while admiring the lights of Cabourg, Le Havre or the boats. Impeccably clean, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The dining room with a view of the sea is a place of delights, the cuisine is refined there, made with good fresh and seasonal products, there is something for everyone. Congratulations to the chef that we would have liked to see to congratulate him, that's what is done. Breakfast, a real pleasure to start the day. Congratulations to all the staff for their kindness, smile and responsiveness. -The lack of a lift to take your luggage up to the second… the really badly designed bathroom. The space between the angle of the bed and the desk too narrow and therefore dangerous. The front door of the bedroom knocking on the bed… I should point out that we were in a bedroom in the attic and at an angle… showering if you are over 1,78m must be mission impossible! Access to the sauna which is from the outside… A question arises, do the hoteliers give the worst rooms to the booking reservists???

Hotel well located although a little away from the center. Super environment with the golf course and the sea view. Very good and classy restaurant. Good value for money. The spa treatments are top notch.

The heating is set very high in the rooms (ask reception to turn it down), but it is absent (or really too low) at reception, in the bar and in the restaurant. The latter is very good but the meal is spoiled by the temperature... Too bad the new management reacts like this; Since the hotel is located outside of Port-en-Bessin, they better keep their customers as much as possible...

When we arrived we were told he was giving us a superior room. Thank you it's nice ... arrives in the room .... amazement a small room in the roof with a skylight ....... it is true that at the base we did not ask anything but then we say nothing .. .moreover, I think we have one of the few rooms without a window, just a skylight. So we could have been given a nicer room, even standard, but this one was not terrible. The champagne .....never planned, we had to ask for it at the restaurant. Great surprise .... I think there is really a communication problem. Sorry to report this, we are not dissatisfied people, on the contrary everything is good for us in general, but this may allow us to be more attentive for future customers.

The site of the Mercure Omaha Beach 4* is very pleasant, the staff welcoming; everything was fine until the diner. Nice restaurant but not at the level of a 4 star apart from the prices (15th for the mojito, 8 in Cherbourg) price on the wrong wine list, dishes ordered unworthy. Nothing for people allergic, pathetic and rare fries, vegetables with meat given drop by drop ... restaurant to avoid absolutely, major work is announced on this site, from there to sacrifice the clientele.

You should tell guests that the sofa in the rooms is fold-out for sleeping. The room is okay. Comfortable bedding except pillows. The toilets frankly too too small but really. The decent bathroom. We spent a comfortable and relaxing night at the Mercure Rouen Val de Reuil. Our room was spacious and bright and offered us a breathtaking view of the Bord forest. We found the bedding very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped. We were also delighted to be able to take advantage of the amenities offered by the hotel, such as the heated indoor pool, sauna and fitness room.
The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. We were also surprised at how well the hotel was secure. The nearby restaurants allowed us to discover the local gastronomy. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel to our travel community.

June 8, 2023Execrable!!!! It has Mercury only in name. As much as some employees are very pleasant, others are unfriendly. As for the manager, I have never seen such an arrogant and dismissive person. Customer satisfaction is clearly not its priority, at the same time it is a transit hotel which is quite regularly full. It's noisy and even dirty, just look at the state of the facade, the overflowing outdoor bins and the state of the carpet or some rooms. I strongly advise against this place. It's really a shame for the few very friendly employees.

+The location, at the top! The setting is nice, a small corner of greenery among the traffic. The reception staff of the weekend, very pleasant and smiling! The bedding, very comfortable!
-It's an old building that feels as much from the outside (very dirty walls) as from the inside (stained carpet). The cleaning remained to be desired (I re-cleaned the toilets!). The soundproofing is horrible, you can hear all the doors slamming at all hours.

Little attentions: tea, herbal tea, kit in the bathroom. I appreciated the Nuxe products in the bathroom! Quiet room, comfortable bedding. And very friendly staff! I recommended to my entourage without hesitation!

March 7., 2023I made a reservation that I had to cancel because of the strike in October, they did not receive the email and I was charged. I had not understood the mechanism and so I called 3 times, I was told to "investigate" or "wait for the manager to arrive" Ok, I then asked them to contact me imperatively (to the 3 people I had at the end of the line) because I need to understand this debit of 148 euros. 4th call, 3 weeks later, unpleasant person on the phone to explain to me that I had not sent the cancellation to the correct address and therefore that the refund is impossible. Deplorable customer service, so you have to insist more than reason to be heard! that you're understaffed, you still need to provide customer service that lives up to the star rating you're claiming. Fortunately, the other hotels in the Accor group take care of their customers. I would not return. Editorial following the management's response: Mrs. Tell me “we are sorry that you could not take into account this information which would have allowed you to carry out your cancellation” This is clearly placing the blame on the customer. And even though the customer doesn't understand the process, isn't it your role to explain it to him? Once again, Madam, in case you did not understand, what I reproach is that: although I expressed my incomprehension to 3 of your collaborators, and that I asked them personally to come back to me, no one did. Not even you, Madam Director. Also, I asked the 4th person to send me the invoice following my call yesterday; and I did not receive it. So even if I was able to send my cancellation to the wrong address is not the question Madam. It is your lack of professionalism, humility and your service which is clearly not up to the Accor group that is the problem.

We opted for a spacious family room which could accommodate two adults and a large teenager. We were delighted to find that there was a real big bed for our child and that the room offered enough space to move around freely. The cleanliness of the room was remarkable and we appreciated the presence of all the Canal + Disney channels. In addition, the little touches such as tea, herbal tea and the kit in the bathroom added a personal touch to our stay. A big shout out to the cleaning team. Friday morning I congratulated the lady (I don't have her name) from cleaning…and she is very kind. She contributes by her professionalism to the quality of the stay. Much less considerate breakfast team. In fact, completely absent in the room. Please remember that this is not a canteen; the customer pays a service.
