She advised us of the departure of the sailboats for the race in Les Sables d'Olonne, telling us that it was about fifty kilometers away. However, the room in the outbuilding for Euro 350 (Luxe room with 4 poster bed) had many problems: (1) trickling / dribbling shower water not hot (impossible to have a shower as no pressure), (2) used up toilet paper roll (almost nothing left as we show in photo, (3) black mold in the shower tray as we show in photo, (4) no real windows; and (5) air conditioner not working (it was a dark, stuffy room with no airflow), (6) no elevator for heavy suitacases, (7) the food from room service was terrible (a fatty white pate in a jar tin called "shepherd's pie" (this was not shepherd's pie and not made fresh as we show in photo).There was no chance for standard room service food such as salad, burger or club sandwich so we ended up eating our own sandwiches from the petrol station.

February 17, 2021I had the chance to stay at Château Du Boisniard and I must say that the experience was exceptional. First of all, the setting is just beautiful. The chateau is surrounded by manicured gardens and the views of the surrounding countryside are breathtaking. Then, the staff is extremely welcoming and attentive. They did everything to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Room service was impeccable and quick, which is always appreciated. But what really made the difference for me was the private spa. I was able to enjoy a moment of absolute relaxation in a luxurious and soothing setting. It was definitely the highlight of my stay at Chateau Du Boisniard. Finally, I must mention the outdoor swimming pool and the surroundings to take a walk. It was lovely to walk around the gardens and soak up the sun by the pool. Since the visit I have been very very sick with angina, body aches, fever! It's really a shame for 1 spa! I won't be going back there again because of this! My friend got sick too!

The SPA offers many very valuable "massages & wraps" fitness formulas. The room service is up to par with the choice of starters, main courses & desserts. The Eden Beach ideally located on the beach will make you discover the oysters of the peninsula of Guérande and a delicious preparation of the knives. The responsiveness of the "Angélina" reception staff and the "Guillaume" housekeepers to make you enjoy your stay. Louis & Jules will make sure to pamper your car. Sasha will always be available to adjust the saddle of your loaner bike and give you very useful details for choosing your discovery rides.

The meals were varied and exquisite and the service attentive and efficient. The hotel facilities like the outdoor pool and fitness room were much appreciated and allowed us to relax and rejuvenate during our stay.

Large room, very clean, large bathroom, and little touches on arrival. Location near the seaside, and 15 minutes walk from the center. The bikes available are a real plus. The breakfast is really top notch, plentiful, with great products, and we absolutely don't regret the price. A real treat. On the other hand, disappointment for dinner: I had indicated that I did not like shellfish with a pronounced taste. The chef de rang told me that there was something on the menu but that it was very light. Alas an appetizer of broth with gray shrimps, very strong in taste, arrived and so I could not eat it. In addition, the wine list was not offered to us, I had to ask for it. I had to serve the wine myself during the meal on 3 occasions. Finally the fish dish (Barbu) was served almost cold and with bones. So in the end for 1 starred restaurant the account is not there. Too bad, it tarnishes the great weekend a little.

April 13, 2022A magical stay I came to recharge my batteries for a week at Castel Marie-Louise. This majestic manor is an imprint of a story, of History. The staff is warm, welcoming, friendly, smiling where humor competes with gentle attentions. Wonderful people of humanity. I was housed in a large room nicely decorated by Jacques Garcia where the sunlight warmed me and the view of a majestic pine made me think of Giono. In short, I felt good, happy, at home. I had the pleasure of chatting with two chambermaids, Isabelle, a great lady, careful, dedicated to her job and Héloïse, a young woman, full of (good) surprises. All this leads to the renewal of my presence for five consecutive weeks and to an immense pleasure to live there. I returned home in great shape and think of each of them with a smile, a tenderness. They reconciled me with myself, with human beings thanks to their unfailing generosity. On a practical level, in the morning, I would come downstairs, greeted by a kind word from Anne-Françoise, the efficient, eloquent and attentive troop leader of François (Cher-Cher Monsieur) with a mischievous eye tinged with an extreme benevolence, Mickaël (voice of Baritone) who takes great care to discover the region (and predict the weather ), Mélanie and her communicative smiling sweetness, Isalyne, a lively young woman who listens to customers and Alex, in love with his La Baule roots, then I went to the restaurant with a superb view of the ocean where an extremely tasty breakfast (thanks to Marie-Aimée for her delicious madeleines that Proust would appreciate value) was waiting for me. There, I was greeted by Fei-Fei and Sandrine, two adorable women whom the difficulties of life and the disdainful behavior of certain customers have not affected. Professional to the core. Afterwards, I walked for hours along the ocean, reaching the Pouliguen above all then returning to pick up my voucher at the hotel allowing me to take advantage of the swimming pool and aquatic activities of the neighboring hotel. Or else I listened to the advice of Mickaël who gave me the bus schedules to visit Guérande, Le Croisic, Les Marais salants, La Turballe and…Piriac-sur-Mer. In the evening, I dined twice at the gastronomic restaurant where delicate dishes are concocted by Jérémy Coirier, a talented young chef. Otherwise, I called for room service with renewed pleasure at being served by Manon, full of delicacy and humor. During this extended month, I welcomed Thomas Chalet, the new director of the establishment, an affable, friendly and charming man, happy to take root in La Baule with his family and to give the best of himself to this establishment. -I don't see anything in particular that we wouldn't have liked, perhaps a registration error on our name meant that the reception couldn't find our reservation on arrival, but that was quickly resolved. And it was no longer possible to book 55-minute periods for spa treatments, everything was full. We had to fall back on less effective 25-minute treatments, but we are aware that we should surely have booked in advance. So clearly not really a point of dissatisfaction but you have to book treatments in advance on weekends.

Following a one-week stay from April 8 to 14, 2023, I would like to express my dissatisfaction. - On the reservation: no city view room at the time of the reservation whereas on arrival I had one. - The rooms are well kept but to modify the air conditioning thoroughly, the person who can adjust it took half a day to come, so half a day in the cold in the room. - The Thalasso no longer works with Thalgo and it is cold. Some pool treatments suck. The staff are pleasant. - Meals in full board: no change of menu for one week. Service pleasant but too long and inefficient. Le Ponton, midday service which only opens at 14:6, not allowing treatments to be resumed at 30 p.m. given the length of the service, except by skipping a dish (not deducted already paid since full board). - The reception: on arrival, coming from Marseille, departure at 15 am from my home, arrival around 72 pm at the hotel, only a glass of hot water was served to me when there was no had service on the plane. - Incomprehensible billing service, does not correspond to reality and 5 hours to make a decision following the change of room, despite my calls, I was never contacted by return by management. In conclusion, the hotel, despite its renovation, does not have a management to match this upscale establishment. It no longer corresponds to my habits of a client recognized as infinitely BARRIERE, nor to what is expected of a XNUMX-star hotel. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

The room was comfortable and it was possible to isolate yourself to be quiet, which is very significant. We were able to take advantage of the spa facilities, the barbecue and the jacuzzi on the terrace as well as the gourmet restaurant.
The surroundings are very pleasant and offer a very romantic setting. We were able to take beautiful walks through the woods and admire the magnificent views of the Seiche and the Castle. -In a few words, it is absolutely not a hotel and even less a 5 star. At best a poorly managed B&B. We were welcomed late at night by young people (family of the owner) obviously absolutely unaware of our arrival who brought us to a room with a tiny bathroom, a shower in which we could not move without touching the windows . Holes in the walls, disconnected sockets because not enough power. Dust on the ground. No keys, so our room remained open to the 4 winds throughout the stay. No information regarding breakfast or any meals. The so-called restaurant is a priori closed. No reception late at night, no room service, rooms not made, no indication of anything in the rooms. I don't know where this establishment got its 5 star hotel status but it is a complete rip off. The second evening when we returned, after midnight, young people were partying on the ground floor with excessively loud music, we had to go down to ask to turn off. No manager on site... A disaster!

We would like to warmly thank the Château de Tressé team who agreed to look after our baby for 1 hour (for free!), so that we could enjoy the spa. Thanks again !

No soap, shampoo in the rooms. A person came to throw it in bulk on the desk at the entrance to the room. We were, I think the only customers, so SPA closed, no restaurant. The breakfast was outrageous, bread and pastries from the night before. Whirlpool tub with yellow/Brown water, no toilet paper in shared toilet. The pool table was unusable because all the cues were broken. THE ROOM HAS NEVER BEEN MADE OF ALL OUR STAY. The hotel is just as responsible as Booking, how to offer this hotel with such an exorbitant price with such a low level of service. I strongly advise against this place and invite you to question yourself about your profession. I demand an immediate refund.

February 1, 2023We stayed as a couple at the Chateau de la Marquise. The owners and Marie, the hotel manager, welcomed us very warmly and with great kindness. The place is absolutely amazing. Majestic. Very well maintained. Own. This large residence from the end of the 19th century is made up of several lounges and we clearly want to settle down in one of them to drink a glass of local wine or a glass of bubbles. We had booked a junior suite. The room is spacious, decorated with care and despite the old style and the weight of the years, it feels like home. The windows overlooked the mature garden. The hotel is close to the city center but we heard no noise and were able to sleep peacefully. In the morning, we enjoyed a good breakfast in one of the rooms decorated with murals and a large mirror. Again, the staff is very caring. The spa ended our stay wonderfully. We had the space privatized for an hour. The room is quiet and bright. We left this short stay rested and relaxed. We would have gladly stayed a little longer walking around the park or enjoying a coffee on the terrace. We recommend without hesitation. The value for money is just amazing!

The place is superb, calm, giving the impression of being in a bubble. The Spa is also very good, we are waiting for the arrival of the hammam in order to come back and have a look. The tapestries, the sculpted wood, the grand staircase and the façade with its canopy are sumptuous. The suites (because I also visited those of my friends also present) are all more beautiful than the other. If the old style is respected both in the sleeping area and the bathroom, they are underlined by a few modern touches which give them an undeniable luxury side. The condition of the rooms is impeccable, as are the bedding and pillows. We were also able to enjoy the spa in the vaulted tufa cellars and the large park. During our visit to the Hotel & Spa de La Bretesche, we were completely seduced by the exceptional setting and the warm welcome of the staff. We had the pleasure of staying in a Double Club room, offering simple and efficient comfort.
We also took advantage of the quality services of the hotel, in particular the swimming pool, the fitness room and the spa. The gourmet cuisine served at Le Montaigu restaurant was delicious and we also really enjoyed the bar at Les Écuries, which offered a breathtaking view of the lake.
We were also able to take advantage of the many activities offered at the hotel, such as renting bicycles to explore the surroundings or playing tennis on the court. We spent unforgettable moments of relaxation in the sumptuous landscapes of the Brière.
