-There was no towel rack in the bathroom, we had to pile them on top of each other on the radiator in the room (no towel warmer radiators or even simple towel racks). At breakfast we asked if we could sit in the glass roof facing the garden and also we like to sit next to each other. It was certainly a table for 4 and there were two of us, but it was 30 minutes before the end of breakfast and there were still many tables of 4 free. This was refused to us on the pretext that there were only two of us and we had to sit in the back. It's all the more unfortunate that no one else came to lunch... I find it a bit of a shame for a 5-star hotel that there isn't more of a sense of customer service.

First of all, I appreciated the calm that reigned in the hotel, which allowed me to completely relax. The comfort of the room was also there, with quality bedding and a warm decoration that immediately put me at ease. The spa was a real bonus, with modern equipment and attentive staff who allowed me to completely relax. I also had the chance to benefit from an exceptional facial treatment, which left my skin soft and luminous. Dinner also lived up to my expectations, although the restaurant did not serve a gourmet menu the night I stayed there. The quality of the dishes was undeniable and I appreciated the finesse of the flavors as well as the careful presentation of the dishes. Finally, I would like to emphasize the quality of the hotel staff, who were very attentive to my needs and were able to respond to all my requests with efficiency and kindness. I loved the starred restaurant with its langoustines, scallops, and veal, but the chef would have made a smaller plate. The service was very good. Breakfast was delicious. I liked the swimming pool. We tasted a champagne from the region and spent a few hours enjoying the view. Champagne prices equivalent to a 5 star hotel. Good food, not the strong point of the place. I think the bar is very good for tasting champagnes by the glass, from local producers, including some from Champillon.

+The staff contributed a lot to the excellent stay we had, which is not always the case (even in 5 stars, or palaces), the rooms are superb, recently renovated, practical (separate toilet, dressing room ), and decorated with taste and in a zen atmosphere. The whole hotel is very well decorated and quiet. We were welcomed with an excellent bottle of champagne in the room which made us very happy! Catering is clearly a strong point of the hotel with the starred MOF chef, Jean-Denis Rieubland, who delighted us each time at the Royal and at the Bellevue. I would also like to mention the service staff at the Royal and the Bellevue, who are very attentive. We particularly appreciated that they did everything they could to get us a table for a second evening at the Royal, and that they so that we have a totally different meal from savory to sweet appetizers. Sommelier Antony also greatly contributes to this superb culinary experience. We had come mainly to rest and we therefore spent a lot of time in the SPA. It's a very nice place, uncluttered where you feel good, the swimming pool is magnificent (even if too cold :/), the mattresses are comfortable and there are enough of them, the jacuzzi is very pleasant and we appreciated the bottles of water available, and the possibility of ordering drinks à la carte. The treatment I received was very pleasant and I really liked the heated massage table which can be put in several positions for more comfort.
-Almost only positive, a few false notes but nothing dramatic: - the pillows in the room (we tried ergonomic pillows, but it was either too soft or too hard) - the SPA rules are not necessarily respected by all, which can happen, but the staff says nothing and that, in an establishment of this standard, is not normal (children running, jumping into the swimming pool shouting, and some adults who decide to make videoconferences very strong) - In the same context, the first evening at the Royal restaurant a large group of English people (?) arrived and the dress code was not respected, this is not normal either, because the other customers make a effort, we are in a starred restaurant we do not want to have dinner with people dressed in tap shorts (who also take them off and go barefoot during the meal) - During our dinner at Bellevue, our starter was the perfect egg Chaource arrived cold which is a shame because the first day we had the opportunity to taste it hot and it was delicious. We reported it to the waitress but no mention was made throughout the rest of the meal, and no action on the bill was offered. There are also some improvements that could make the experience even more pleasant: - the gym lacks equipment to be able to do a complete workout - the spa lacks infrastructure, Sauna with essential oils, Hammam (functional), showers sensory, relaxation room with heated or infrared armchairs and the menu of treatments could be expanded (massage beds, infrared beds, baths, and massages with vine products for example!) - the Bellevue tables are too low and too small, we are a little tight, and my husband was badly installed with his long legs, which is a shame because the setting is superb.

We had lunch 2 days in a row at the Bellevue restaurant and benefited both afternoons from body and facial treatments at the spa. We were very well received in these 2 establishments. The Croisette menu is very good value for money and we really appreciated the olfactory quality of the treatments. We did not sleep in the hotel due to a nearby pied-à-terre. Many thanks to the restaurant manager for his sympathy and to our beauticians for pampering us.

Everything was spotlessly clean and neatly decorated. I particularly liked the bathroom, which was equipped with a shower and a bathtub. It was truly a luxury to have both options available. The hotel spa is also exceptional. I had the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing massage and I have to say it was one of the best I have ever had. The staff were very professional and caring, and the whole experience was really relaxing. All in all, I cannot recommend the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa enough. November 26, 2022I came with a friend to discover the region by wanting to book in the 5 star house of Rhodes, confident of the prestigious group behind this hotel. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our experience. What we liked: - very good location, pretty quiet cobbled street, in the heart of Troyes - charming building and interior courtyards with lots of character - pretty room with large bathroom, very clean, bathrobes and good quality beauty products quality provided What we did not like: - Room: it was not 40m2 as indicated on booking (in reality 10m2 less), and did not correspond to the photos on booking either. Extremely dark room when we had requested a bright room. - Breakfast: no explanation and details of the offer by the receptionist. We finally filled out the form with a second receptionist, but the breakfast served did not correspond to our requests (forgotten milk, basket of pastries with only two croissants, compote and industrial fruit salads). Value for money inconsistent and very disappointing. - service: I called asking for the house in Rhodes specifically to book a room and without telling me the receptionist booked the 4-star Le Champ des Oiseaux hotel. On arrival I discovered it myself, no one had explained to me that the reception was used for both hotels and no one apologized, the receptionist did not hesitate to tell me that it was my fault because I had not specified the hotel well, which is false and very inappropriate. Impersonal, expeditious welcome, without any kindness or explanations. One of the receptionists was pleasant but confused and unable to tell us about the establishment's offer (description/characteristics of the rooms, spa and massage offer). Unpleasant checkout (we weren't asked if our stay had gone well, no apologies or goodwill gestures, no help with our bags, we had to pay and leave). We have rarely seen such bad service, especially in a luxury hotel. Unfortunately the management did not even try / wanted us to leave on a positive note, despite our various remarks during our stay, too bad. Nice potential, unfortunately the staff is not up to par.

+Ideally located, this hotel offers a warm welcome thanks to the extremely pleasant staff. the setting is magnificent, right in the city center but rejuvenatingly calm. we had a very nice family holiday. I strongly recommend

+Very nice hotel, well placed in the historic part of Troyes, very quiet location, very well decorated hotel (top of the range), very beautiful historic building, very good breakfast. Pleasant and attentive staff.
-Not very practical to take a shower in an unprotected bathtub, even if the latter is of a good size. No choice in the room to have rectangular and lower pillows.

September 5, 2022Nice place, friendly welcome, however very disappointed with the restaurant, amateur service not to mention the overpriced dishes for pasta with warmed tomato sauce. Breakfast at 30 euros insignificant, a croissant, a small fruit salad, a piece of cheese and a coffee. Swimming pool closed from 11:30 a.m. to 15 p.m.… in short, the historic site is everything. Disappointed in general

July 13, 2022Beautiful and clean hotel, but the restaurant does not live up to expectations. The quality of the dishes is unfortunately not on the appointment for the bill... Reservation made in advance to eat outside which ultimately ended up inside... too bad not to be able to enjoy of this beautiful garden.

April 1, 2022Hotel that does not correspond to 4 stars Very nice house from the 16th century certainly but very noisy on the street, the staff is attentive certainly, but in our room, absence of mini bar, shower in the bathtub accompanied by a trickle of water, the safe was HS, the air conditioning was malfunctioning emitting a recurring noise all night! impossible to sleep. the swimming pool is not a swimming pool it is a basin the water which moreover was icy cold, the restoration is not gourmet simply dishes to warm up! I am a regular at four stars and five stars and I can tell you that this does not correspond in any way to the specifications of a hotel of this type. I find all this very limited and I strongly encourage you to go your way!
