Although I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, I found the bar and waiters to be very professional and welcoming. It is located right downtown, close to many restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. It made my travels very convenient and I was able to explore the city easily.
As for the room, I was pleasantly surprised by its size. It was spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room to relax after a busy day. Also, the cleanliness of the room was impeccable. Everything was perfectly clean and well maintained, which added to my comfort and well-being.

May 10, 2021 at 1:47 pmI recently stayed at the Sofitel Lyon Bellecour and was delighted with my experience. The location of the hotel is ideal, as it is close to everything the city has to offer. This allowed me to move easily and discover the different tourist attractions of Lyon.
The welcome I received at the hotel was excellent. The staff was very nice and attentive, which was especially appreciated considering that I was accompanied by a 1 month old baby. They did everything to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.
The panoramic terrace at the top of the hotel is a real gem. The view of the city from this place is simply amazing. I spent many pleasant moments on this terrace, admiring the view and relaxing.
The hotel's brunch and bars are also very enjoyable. I was able to savor delicious food and drinks while enjoying the warm and friendly atmosphere of the hotel.
Finally, the lounges at the bottom of the hotel were a true haven of peace. I was able to spend long hours relaxing and resting before leaving. It was the icing on the cake of my stay at the Sofitel Lyon Bellecour hotel.

The breakfast was very very good with an unbeatable choice of sugar/salty.
The panoramic view from the restaurant was magnificent (I was also lucky to have a beautiful view from my room on the 7th floor!)
The insulation of the rooms: despite the busy roads, the double glazing protected well from outside noise.
I particularly appreciated decorations with real flowers.
What could be improved: the toilet paper is very thin. Maybe it saves money, but it's cheap.
Last night I was woken up by a loud noise at 5:30. I don't know if it came from a neighboring room or if it was just above. But a little later, when I woke up, I heard the restaurant being vacuumed, probably before it opened for breakfast.
Next time, if in doubt, I'll ask for a room on the 6th floor.

The lounge bar with a panoramic view of the Rhône is very pleasant, the breakfast very good and plentiful.

Only downside the hammam was not working when we wanted to go there, it was fixed quickly but we did not have time to go there unfortunately, too bad for us but these are things that can happen even in establishments like this, next time maybe

+As the name Sofitel suggests, the rooms are comfortable, spacious and the hotel is very well located. The breakfast room on the top floor is simply splendid. Having breakfast while seeing the day breaking over Lyon is absolutely worth it.
-Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio has deteriorated considerably. For that price (30 euros for parking, 29 euros for breakfast) which is excessive, we could at least expect excellence… but we are not there or no longer. The bar menus are no longer up to date (COVID conditions not updated, tapas announced but no longer served), at the bar a few poor olives with its drink... and on request!, mini-bar in the rooms very poorly supplied, buffet breakfast opened 10 mins late… None of this would be a problem if the price was reasonable. In Lyon, other hotels do better for a lot less. Damage.
