-The restaurant: the service is random, provided by two people, one of whom was a little "to the west" and extremely noisy room when a group arrived for dinner. The swimming pool: bad luck, I came across one evening when an overload of chlorine did not allow it to be used... So I went to the SPA: the hammam was cold (well, cold for the hammam, that's a say not at the necessary temperature), only the sauna seemed to work, which was already not bad! Unfortunately, I forgot a branded t-shirt in the bathroom, so I called twice asking for it to be picked up, specifying the room and the place where I had left it (call as soon as next day when I realized it), I was twice promised to call me back, I never got a phone call; this is not worthy of a hotel of this category.

-We arrived late around 22 p.m. after trying unsuccessfully to reach the hotel to keep us something to eat. It was not possible to eat, even a snack. For a hotel of this standard I find it a shame. We had a pizza delivered but without help from the hotel.

A very welcoming and perfect place for a luxurious rest in complete serenity.

+I spent 4 nights in this hotel with my wife, we were pleased to know we were upgraded to a deluxe room. We took advantage of the relaxation areas: swimming pool and sauna mainly, the hammam being closed for security reasons linked to the pandemic. We had the opportunity to eat at the hotel restaurant which offers refined cuisine and impeccable service, for an affordable price (menu at 35€ per person, we paid 77€ for 2 people with cocktails, main courses and desserts ). The staff is very caring, my wife took advantage of a massage and a spa treatment and came out delighted.

-A lot of information is to be requested without the staff informing you beforehand on arrival (restaurant opening hours, breakfast times, etc.). The town of Maintenon, apart from the castle, offers few places to visit or leisure.

-general benefits not related to four stars. No electrical outlet on the bathroom wall where there is the mirror above the sink. The only outlet is in the back of the mirror near the front door, which is not at all convenient for shaving or drying your hair. there was only one armchair in the room, which is complicated for a couple to read… The restaurant for the evenings had an icy atmosphere and with a level of service on meals not at the level of a four stars.

Smell of sewage in the bathroom, bath flush intermittently flowing, significant tartar in the toilets and the bottom of the bowl as soon as it is loaded... Small menu for the menu, which normally suggests fresh products... this was not the case: Madame is still trying to digest the flambéed prawns (the flambéing will probably be done during our next visit), 3 large prawns, probably frozen, and ravioli swimming in a tomato sauce (26€).... My beef tenderloin was perfect, although the mashed potato with truffles had already been served several times and all topped... swimming in a sauce unknown on earth (29€) having warned the reception of certain incidents, the only response received was: “I am forwarding the information” to whom??? and especially without taking notes. The lack of staff is not everything .... a smile would have been welcome as well as a visit to the room before being made available, a housekeeper seems essential to me in a "4 star"

Went to the restaurant in the evening but in fact it was not the restaurant it was the breakfast area! It was cold....

Incompetent service at breakfast (cold scrambled eggs - no automatic replenishment of food), and so on....

+The restaurant and the teams. The quality of the food was more than up to par. The young chef knows how to show generosity in her cooking, with real home cooking. Simple dishes but very well executed with very good products. The service was smiling, an attentive and helpful team.

-The room is way overpriced for the quality and amenities. We had a siphon problem in the bathtub, problem not solved despite insistence; the siphon did not open, we showered with stagnant water from the bathtub from the day before. No conditioner, almost empty toilet paper on arrival, deplorable bedding and cushions. No towels at the pool.

I read in the comments that the opinions are taken into account to improve the services, I doubt it and no I will not return!

+The bedroom is very spacious with a real dressing area, chic and soothing decoration in shades of beige. The bathroom is TOP with an Italian shower + a bathtub. The buffet breakfast is up to par. We took advantage of the heated swimming pool and the sunny exteriors. Access to the castle of Maintenon on foot. Perfect !

-We were unable to book at the hotel restaurant for the two nights of our stay because it was full. We would have liked to be notified as soon as we arrived.

Short stay with family

+We were two adults and a child and stayed in a suite with a bed and a sofa bed. The main bed was very comfortable. We were able to enjoy the swimming pool, small but perfect with a toddler. The town of Maintenon is quite small so everything is within walking distance.

-The comfort of the sofa bed is average, you can feel the springs.

On the occasion of New Year's Eve of 31/12/2022, we had a very nice evening with our friends (2 couples). The pool was very nice (and warm). The evening meal was very correct (aperitif at discretion as well as wine at the table) impeccable entertainment (cabaret style) and the DJ set the mood. We finished with an excellent breakfast served later than usual (due to the short night…). Thank you to all the hotel staff, we will recommend this place without hesitation.

-Spider web in the bedroom, "sheep" under the bed. Insufficient lighting in the room. A hair dryer socket at the entrance to the bathroom, very far from the mirror preventing proper styling. In addition sauna and hammam in maintenance for a week therefore unusable, and finally in the restaurant a service not at the rendezvous. Customers who arrived after us were served before. He listened 50 minutes between the delayed plates of the entrance and the following dish (having asked in the meantime if we had been forgotten).

We had a good weekend. Too bad the hammam was out of order... and the quality of the room was not up to par for the price (damaged parquet, broken mirror...). 1st time it happens.. However, nice view from the room and good room service for breakfast.

-Everything was perfect except the breakfast: industrial pastries without any taste (large in size: enormous croissants and pains au chocolat but bland: we expect better from such an establishment. The bedding too stiff for a person who suffers from sciatica.

Second stay in the hotel and I find that the rooms have deteriorated a lot and really deserve a refresh. We can expect not to see these defects everywhere. The service in the restaurant was quite long although it was not complete. In conclusion it is a bit expensive for the services offered because they are below what can be expected in a 4 star hotel. Hoping to be able to improve the rating next time, just not much.

-not at all warm, we were cold all the time (especially in the SPA area, tenable limit, broken hammam…), tiled or linoleum on the floor in the room, not even a carpet, I had hoped to spend the weekend end in a comfortable hotel, enjoy the swimming pool, the hammam, well I had the impression of being in a nursing home…

+The hotel is beautiful and the facilities are very comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and the staff very friendly. I'm used to frequenting hotels and this one is very, very good value for money, I slept very well being a sales person with a lot of driving, it's very pleasant.

-Too bad we can't receive our invoices by e-mail, it would save a lot of time and paperwork. I still recommend this establishment!

-Arriving at 16:00 p.m. the room was not ready and we had to wait 10 mins. Also I had asked for a room with a bathtub but I got a room with a shower. I did not claim because I was afraid of having to wait again. I don't fault the staff as I felt they were understaffed.

-the restaurant only has a fixed menu from Sunday evening to Thursday lunchtime (be careful, there is a 2018 menu on the site, which is obsolete) the showers next to the hammam and the sauna are too hot and there is no cold shower or cold bucket the temperature of the sauna (75 degrees only) the fitness room is not indicated except for a label in the elevator no curtains on the French windows of the swimming pool

Nice hotel and well located

+The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated with a view of the garden. The steam room was out of service...but the pool and sauna were open and nice with floor to ceiling windows and garden. The classic breakfast, we experienced more variety. The room was nice and big. Welcoming staff, well-equipped hotel and very well located because you visited the castle and the city center on foot.

-Traces on the wall (made by customers I think) so a coat of paint in some places would make the difference for a 4 star .....

Great short stay + visit to the Castle and garden = magnificent. We will come back.

+Everything. Hair/face treatments, hammam, very spacious room (slept well) / very very good meal (spacious breakfast room and generous breakfast). Lack of suspension or hanger in bathroom and bedroom and also a few more shelves/storage lockers in the wardrobe (this one is very large).

-Nothing. Didn't have time in 2 days to evaluate everything. Apart from that there is little to see and do in the city, we also don't know the place and we don't know what there is to visit or do (shops), café-terraces.
