May 17, 2022 at 2:40 amWe booked a last minute family night and it was flawless! The welcome from all the staff was absolutely incredible (special mention for Jérôme, the director of the establishment who took great care with my sons).
The establishment is beautiful, the food very good.
No complaints, we will be back soon!

June 23, 2022 at 5:52 amI pointed out to the bartender that the glass he had just served me came out of the dishwasher and was therefore very hot. For answer he threw me Six ice cubes in the bourbon I had ordered.
Very classy for a luxury establishment!

October 25, 2022 at 12:10 amFirst perfect Nîmes getaway!
+– the service, attentive, discreet, with available and caring staff;
– calm both in the common areas and in the rooms;
– the quality of the food served and the wide variety of wines offered;
– the general decoration, elegant and in tune with the times.
-– the lift, which is magnificent, but which has often proved to be capricious;
– the valet parking service which would benefit from being improved: as it stands it is not easy when you arrive at the hotel to park to hand over the vehicle keys to the staff without obstructing traffic. Sometimes we had to walk two or three blocks to get there.

+Hall, reception, magnificent garden.
Delicious tapas at the bar and friendly service
-Obsequious welcome focused primarily on the terms of payment;
A 5-star ranking is synonymous with excellence, here are the little details that upset us: unpleasant smell from the toilets on arrival in the room, only one pair of slippers for two, Leading Hotels of the World guide in English only.
Breakfast: everything is extra…
We expected more generosity and friendliness in a hotel of this class

November 13, 2022 at 1:51 pmAt the terrace for a drink: overstaffed staff, a long wait for the menu, a squeezed lemon without sugar, unbearable American musical soup, a settlement that must be done further at the bar by queuing in front of a waiter who talks about his Italian experience when it comes to cocktails. To avoid.

November 29, 2022 at 10:43 amNice hotel and location
+The location in the heart of town. The general style and decoration of the establishment. The staff very friendly and at the level of what is expected in this type of establishment.
-The swimming pool is very good but the landscaping around it is very bad. 10 to 12 places at most in one of the hottest cities in France is just completely incongruous. Customers often turn on their heels, not wanting to wait for a place and for the others, including myself, you have to improvise with 2 chairs or whatever you find a relaxation area.

December 2, 2022 at 12:02 amFantastic
+A human-sized hotel in the heart of the city is one of the best hotels in France. We come to Nîmes only to spend a few days in this magnificent setting. Top brasserie, wonderful spa, outdoor swimming pool suspended in the void under the Ginkgo Biloba. Friendly staff and manager present for the well-being of customers. A wonderful stay
-The weather but I'm not sure the hotel can act 🙂

February 10, 2023 at 5:32 pmthe hotel is obviously known for being of high quality, and the interior villa we enjoyed was remarkable for its comfort and space. But above all the quality of the staff makes the stay really very pleasant, they make a real effort to make you feel welcome, recognized and assisted, at all times of the stay.

April 3, 2023 at 10:25 pmFabulous
+Neat, contemporary, elegant renovation while retaining the spirit of the place, the elevator for example
Attentive and smiling staff
Nice (small) indoor and outdoor pools
Very nice furniture, we really liked the Gagnaire pastry when we arrived in the room.
Breakfast very good at a reasonable price, even more pleasant outside and in the sun
-Relatively small room for the price and the city.
Large bathroom but small bedroom area for a 5* hotel in Nîmes.
But that does not prevent me from recommending this very nice hotel.

April 29, 2023 at 1:57 pmI chose the Brasserie de l'Impérator for a business lunch. The place is magnificent. On the other hand disappointed with the quality / price ratio. €160 for 2 choosing the menu with a glass of wine, a bottle of sparkling water and coffee. The 3 courses are neat but not up to the price. We expect much better from a restaurant that is positioned at the very top of the range. In summary, we mainly pay for the frame. I think we were served by interns: The waitress brings a starter to our table. We wait 3 minutes. Still no news from the other entry. Suddenly the chef picks up my dish and takes it into the kitchen to serve it a few seconds later to the single person at the next table! We understand that the waitress had the wrong table! This is a mistake worthy of an application restaurant, not a 5 star establishment.
In conclusion, I will only come back when all these points have improved.

May 29, 2023 at 4:10 pmA very nice afternoon at the imperator, starting with an excellent lunch at the brasserie, refined dishes and tastefully served. Flawless from appetizer to dessert.
Then, afternoon at the spa, thanks to Tiphaine and Stephanie who made us spend a superb restful and relaxing afternoon. A duo massage at the top, we came out relaxed from the service.
Thank you to the whole team, who were smiling and caring throughout the day.

June 3, 2023 at 7:31 amWe came to eat at the brasserie this Sunday with our two adorable doggies.
We came very regularly to this establishment under the former management of CC
What a desappointment!
I had to repeat 3 times to two different people that we were 2 for the 13 p.m. reservation….
Glasses of wine at 12 euros seem below 12 cl….
A wine at this price deserves a different glass, bigger, wider...
The service is not up to par. The empty water bottle is not cleared away, the wine bottle is placed next to the glass, the bread is taken away from you without bringing it back…..
The starters were really not up to par for this type of establishment.
The dessert was inedible. The pastry chef came to apologize, stating that his wife had tasted it and also found it too hard…. A substitute dessert was offered. Finally, we went to the bar for tea and coffee.
6.50 euros the infusion. At this price, we avoid asking the customer to pay the bill right away because I'm on a break….. It's a very average attitude.
In short, 190 euros is very expensive to pay for this type of service.
I make it clear here that we do not hesitate to pay full price when the service is up to par. There has been a clear deterioration in services since the departure of the former director, that's obvious. The service is provided by too many trainees who are not up to par.
Respond, gentlemen responsible, it's never too late.

+The whole evening, the friendliness of the staff and the exceptional room.
-The forgetting of the luggage in the car by the valet, and the impossibility of reaching the reception by telephone. Lack of staff at the reception while the bar restaurant staff was redundant.

June 24, 2023 at 6:27 pmSuperb and unmissable establishment.
+We were very pleasantly impressed by the quality of service, the involvement of all the staff in taking care of the customers. We felt like we had known each of them forever even though it was our first stay. We had forgotten to take our bathing suits to use the spa. Immediately the front desk manager offered to send someone to buy some for us in town. On the day of departure the latter, and her manager, accompanied us to our vehicle, outside, to wish us a good trip. A perfect customer relationship.
-We couldn't fault anything during our entire stay.
