January 14, 2021 at 2:38 amI recently stayed at the Balthazar Hotel & Spa – MGallery by Sofitel and I must say that my experience was more than satisfactory. Everything was perfect, from the lovely staff to the venues and services offered.
As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted with a smile by the reception staff. They were very professional and took the time to answer all of my questions. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation. My room was spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated.
The hotel staff was always available to meet my needs and help me plan my activities in the city. I also had the opportunity to take advantage of the services offered by the hotel's spa. The spa staff were very knowledgeable and gave me an exceptional treatment.
All in all, I had an unforgettable stay at the Balthazar Hotel & Spa – MGallery by Sofitel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality accommodation with impeccable service. I'm sure I'll be back to this hotel soon for another stay.

I have to say that the decoration of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Everything is very well designed and the colors and patterns are perfectly matched to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
As for my room, it was very comfortable and cozy. I loved the soft sheets and fluffy pillows which made my sleep very pleasant. The room was also equipped with all the modern conveniences I needed, including a flat screen TV and a fully stocked minibar.
But what really made the difference for me was the bathroom. It was spacious and well appointed, with fluffy towels and quality toiletries. The shower was also very nice and had constant strong water pressure.
All in all, I highly recommend Balthazar Hotel & Spa – MGallery by Sofitel for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish place to stay. The magnificent decoration, the cozy bedroom and the well-equipped bathroom make it a perfect choice for a relaxing and pleasant stay.

Le Balthazar is my Rennes residence and for once I will not detail the services that make this hotel attractive but I will focus on those that give it its soul, those that make it run and make each stay unique and rich in moments of pleasure. tranquility and pleasure. I would like to salute the work of the general housekeeper and her team: often invisible, this team adapts daily to make your room look like the first day of your arrival. Discreetly, efficiency, speed, the requirement of cleanliness and
sharpness are their credo and we can never thank them enough. I will associate with these thanks the technical team who work here again in the background and who intervene to change the light bulbs, repair the defective sockets or do minor maintenance and repair work.
We must also salute the reception team, often your first point of contact, the first milestone in the hotel journey. Present on your arrival but accompanying you throughout your stay, that of the Balthazar combines friendliness, efficiency and availability. I will associate with the latter the valets who take care of your vehicle seriously, thus avoiding you having to manage the parking lot in the city center.
Thank you to the chef and his brigade for the superb menu during my stay with a special mention for the desserts concocted by the pastry chef: those on this menu are particularly remarkable in terms of audacity, balance and subtlety of taste, combining gavotte, chocolate and garlic or rhubarb, strawberry and shiso or finally fennel, lemon and dill.

The mastery of the menu, the explanations or the advice are always judicious and demonstrate the commitment of this team. Thanks to the assistant catering manager and his team for this.
I won't forget to salute the work of the Balthazar bartenders, who are always quick to share their passion for mixology with you. Well beyond the menu, they make each tasting a tailor-made moment, a discovery and an exchange.
During this stay I did not take advantage of the hotel spa but given my regular stays I also know the quality of the welcome and the services. The team of this SPA Nuxe allows you to relax and forget everything while taking care of yourself.
Thank you to the director of the Balthazar for being the conductor of this symphonic ensemble where each part, each speaker contributes individually or collectively to play a complex score without false note for the greatest pleasure of the hosts that we are.

I received for my birthday a gift voucher, treatment and balneotherapy area.
Very difficult to book.
The staff are lovely when we arrive.
The spa area is very small but cosy.
We were lucky my friend and I to be alone.
The massage was nice but nothing more for the number of stars of the Balthazar.
The young woman practicing was making cuts between limb massage. Damage !
The relaxation area is very small, we were made to sit in pairs on the deckchairs.
We feel that it is the chain.
What a pity for this place of relaxation.

The cosy, chic and refined decoration invites you to relax from the entrance.
The pleasant and smiling staff is really attentive to our expectations.
The lounge bar is a place, welcoming, where you can meet over a drink, with very pleasant music, and its team of very good advice on the choices.
The breakfasts in the room or in the breakfast room are exceptional.
The Spa remains a real plus, and the Nuxe team is adorable and kind, with treatments that live up to our expectations.
-The only downside would be the behavior of people in the sensory space of the Spa, which confuses, relaxation area and municipal swimming pool, despite the poster at the entrance.
Perhaps, remind the staff at each visit?

+Almost everything. The staff are charming and very professional, at all levels. The room was very quiet, the bed super comfortable, the little terrace is great for relaxing. The overall decor of the hotel is done with great taste. The patio is beautiful. The spa is nice but small. What about the restaurant, one of the best tested in recent years. The framework of the latter is nice without more but what we find in our plates deserves the detour. Congratulations to the chef whose subtlety awakens all the taste buds!
-Only downsides to our stay, access to the spa, which is too restricted and requires booking. Small detail also, a short noise like the start of a 3-5 second Nespresso (a pump?) which is triggered intermittently.

Once there, we were told that we had to book in advance because there is a minimum two-month wait… We were put on the waiting list but did not have it during our stay. Disappointed…
We also asked if there was private parking with the hotel, we were told yes there was parking. Once there, it is the public underground car park (or other…) a little further and you had to pay more…
