No reception, a hastily set table with a paper tablecloth covering a cotton tablecloth despite a reservation the previous Tuesday! Disorganized service. Fortunately, the quality of the food made us forget these inconveniences. A small downside, however, for a restaurant of this class: an absence of "appetizer" and coffees served without "sweets".

Smiling, professional, attentive teams, knowing how to adapt to the needs and constraints expressed. Very comfortable room. Quality historic brasserie with, in particular, an original and tasty steak tartare. Note the originality of a breakfast, not in buffet mode as you find everywhere, but in tray mode for each table, full of good things, supplemented by eggs to order. Having left more than half of the tray on the 2 mornings, due to taste and appetite, not sure that outside of the Covid, this is the best formula. Thank you for the attention of the bottles of water and cake offered at the start.

The Christmas meal at the starred restaurant was a real journey of happiness, in flavors, Congratulations to Chef Éric Girardin. The butler explaining each choice and provenance of the different wines was very interesting. Kudos to the audacity of choosing red wine with foie gras.
2 nights and 2 meals to enjoy the Colmar Christmas market, a superb gift.
Just a reserve for breakfast, complete, excellent but when you are not pastries or salty but very eggs, yogurts, fresh cheese and fruit, on the second day you are a little disappointed and tired of finding the same products from the day before . The buffet is better suited if you want to be satisfied.

January 1, 2023 at 9:35 amWhile walking in Colmar, I stopped in front of a magnificent building to contemplate it. As I walked into the yard to look at the Easter decorations, I came across the map which looked enticing.
I took a lunch menu which was not very expensive in my opinion and the meal was excellent. The standard of the restaurant is high-end and the products are of good quality.

January 4, 2023 at 10:12 pmNewly expatriated in Alsace in Colmar, it is quite naturally that our first restaurant focused on this historic establishment. What a great discovery and a good time. The concept of gourmet brasserie is perfectly realized. Very good, well-cooked products, very good service and the charm of a historic building revisited just right.
We will be back for sure.

We enjoyed the gourmet meal for the Chef's inventive cuisine and its exceptional flavors in a beautiful clean and modern place. Very professional caring staff. We renew our compliments to the Chef.
Also at the Brasserie meals of the same excellence.

+Kindness of the staff, value for money of the brasserie during the week, extra extra extra breakfast. Very nice to have a cake and water for the return train.
-I would have liked the bed on the ground floor to be turned back into a sofa during the day. A little sweetness waiting for us in the evening (a chocolate, a biscuit), as in some Relais, would have been nice. For a family of 4 with a teenager and a pre-teen, 2 bottles of water/day would have been nice.

-the meal at the brasserie a little expensive for the meal served lack of coat racks in the rooms and a pity when we arrived we were offered a tea we would have better enjoyed a good glass of crémant!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in the hotel on a Sunday to take advantage of the Christmas market in Colmar and took the parking option.
The whole service was ok but the luxury is hidden in the details.
It was indicated on our reservation "Room with bath" but when discovering the room, we found a simple shower. Too bad when you book in part for this option.
The reception simply replied “Ah? Well, we don't have a room with a bathtub available. Sorry… ".
Ok.
Too bad there is no compensation but let's move on.
In the room, good bedding, perfect temperature and cleanliness at the appointment.
The next day breakfast was served in your room with a check-out scheduled for 12 noon. The PDJ was very qualitative. However, at 11:40 a.m., a hotel manager comes by to pick up the tray. Very cold and almost rude service. On this type of establishment, we say to ourselves that it would be appropriate to wait for the client to leave.
At the time of check-out, I ask if we can leave the car in the parking lot for another hour to walk around, then we leave at 1 p.m. No flexibility from reception. “We have a lot of arrivals today, it's not possible”. I insisted by evoking the subject bathroom. Inflexible…
So we left the place.
Passing by the parking lot at 13 p.m., I noticed that it was still empty.
A prime location, good bedding and clean rooms characterize this establishment, which is ultimately what you find in a 4-star hotel.
In a 5 star, we come for the extra touch, this attentive service, a unique hospitality. This notion is not experienced and understood by the teams.
The processes are 5 stars (cleaning, attention in the room, bedding, breakfast) but the service is very disappointing (I forgot to mention the closure of the two catering areas on weekends)
It is not enough to wear a uniform and sell expensive rooms to make luxury…
