+A night in an exceptional setting. Superb furniture, very spacious and comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Nice little touches. The deferred reception places are all warm.
-The noise of the air conditioning. The central heating did not work and the air conditioners made background noise in the living room with fireplace and in our bedroom.

+The castle and its surroundings
-No parking except paying in the park of the castle. Despite an upgrade due to faulty air conditioning, we found that the price of the room is not in line with the quality expected in this type of establishment. Example: outdated carpet, defective toilet flush, toilet door does not close, poorly fixed shower partition, unsuitable shower floor tiles, very slippery (dangerous) etc……..deco bof.

December 4, 2022 at 7:59 amstay very moderately appreciated despite a beautiful setting and excellent cuisine
+The setting is very good, the meal eaten on site lived up to expectations and therefore very good, but the service less so.
-Some aspects associated with the accommodation left something to be desired, in particular a light bulb in the bedside table that was burnt out and not changed during our entire stay despite having put it aside on the table.
Perhaps it was due to the start of the season, but the maitre d'hotel was particularly unpleasant when it came to specific requests, when the sommelier, although very nice, knew very few of the wines on the menu. We had also planned to take several dinners there that we canceled following our unfortunate experience with the maitre d'hotel. The room that was offered to us (3rd floor with elevator stopping at the second) was not practical with a baby and spiral stairs not to mention luggage..

December 11, 2022 at 9:57 amUnforgettable moments
+The environment was rather simple and rustic… the adjoining wood with the deer and the swimming pool of the castle were very relaxing and pleasant. The staff was really very smiling and helpful in our requests. It was a real pleasure to be so well served. The food in the restaurant was outstanding and I think I ate the two best gourmet dishes of my life there. And then it's still not every day that you can boast of sleeping in a XNUMXth century castle. Happy to have spent a stay at the Château de Rochegude.
-My only complaint is just a personal preference for the hardness of the bed. I think that's probably where the mattress was one of the firmest I've slept on in years. I would have preferred less hard.

There were also a few small problems in the restaurant due to the lack of qualified staff.

In terms of the restaurant, everything was perfect, an excellent and refined menu, a varied breakfast with quality products.

A big thank you to all for your welcome, everything was perfect as always.

January 29, 2023 at 11:22 pmNice castle, but it's cold in winter and the radiators are too noisy.
+It is a real medieval castle, in the middle of the vineyards and not far from Mont Ventoux. There is a sophisticated decoration with some period pieces. Restaurant and SPA (massage parlour, duo massage possible) on site.
Behind, belonging to the castle, there are 11 hectares of parkland with deer which are not very shy, you can see them up close.
The hotel responded positively to my request to eat gluten-free and lactose-free: the restaurant adapted the evening meal for me and it was a treat, especially the dessert, thank you
-– the restaurant part has been added and is not very pretty on the outside
– we were cold:
– on the ecological side: a lot of single glazing, very old heating system (inefficient and too noisy, blower) and in our room (the 14 “chantilly”) 1 out of 2 appliances did not work, and the one that worked could not manage to heat the room sufficiently, there was the addition of a small electric radiator in the room that goes to the church (wardrobe and extremely cold tea room) that we had to put in the bedroom.
– WC without heating
– the 2nd evening there was no more hot water for the 2nd shower
– poor sound insulation
– I had warned that I eat gluten-free and lactose-free (for health reasons) and the bread provided is the same as in an IBIS (frozen bread in plastic, which was still frozen in the evening), at breakfast there was the same bread (there was a toaster), but no replacement for lactose (vegetable drink, margarine), apparently "there was more", luckily I was able to buy some at the small proxi at the foot of the castle , because even if I had asked for the first breakfast (and 2 weeks before) the castle could not get it…
– no one to carry your luggage, on arrival “Laurence, the manager” carried 1 bag for 1 staircase… the rest was up to us

February 3, 2023 at 4:37 pma night for a prince and a princess. a dream…
+calm in an authentic castle steeped in history. The park is also magical and invites you to stroll and daydream. the suite was a real apartment with a neat decoration perfectly adapted to the style of the place. the bathroom opening onto a very large terrace (certainly part of the old walkway) with stunning views of the countryside
-we dined at the gourmet restaurant. Nothing to say about the quality of the food. On the other hand, extremely slow service obviously due to poor organization in the kitchen.

March 27, 2023 at 12:40 amA complete disappointment. To avoid.
+The structure of this small castle and its location in the village of Rochegude are, in my opinion, the only elements worthy of interest in this hotel.
-I did not enjoy my stay at this hotel at all. The equipment was broken, in this case the air conditioning, no water pressure in the toilets, a trickle of water to take a shower, the mini bar broken and not producing cold. A wretched fan as a consolation prize. Obviously the establishment does not have the means of its claims. He confronts his young and friendly staff with the shortcomings caused by his small savings made to the detriment of his reputation … and especially of the customer. At €400 including tax for a room, we try to provide a correct service.

Despite my instructions, my spouse paid the bill
At Check out I was once again charged for the restaurant…charged for breakfast which was non-existent because it stops at 9:50 instead of 10:00…
Nice place but service not up to the castle.

+A very warm welcome, special dedication to comrade Bernard who is exceptional. The establishment is superb, the decoration harmonious, the staff attentive. The castle park is a haven of peace inhabited by very nice deer who are not very shy. The whole allowed us to spend a very pleasant moment. We will come back.

+The building is magnificent, the place charming and the restaurant divine, too bad the menu card remains the same, especially when you spend several days there. The sommelier is very good advice and very friendly.
-Some staff members are unfortunately not up to a relay and castle. In addition, we expected to have a daily restocking of Nespresso capsules in the room, but it seems that customers are only entitled to one capsule of coffee during their entire stay!!!

May 8, 2023 at 10:41 pmAll right
+The place, the staff, the dinner at the restaurant
-The breakfast was a bit disappointing. In the room, there was no milk for the cereals and the scrambled eggs were too salty.
At the buffet, we arrived around 9:50 a.m. There was almost nothing left, difficulties in finding glasses, plates, cutlery, etc.
I also tried to call the reception, it's surprising because it's a number in 04 etc. And in addition I had a message that the number was not in service. So impossible to contact reception.
The air conditioning in the room is super noisy.
