-Room with a skylight (no window) while the site only presents rooms with window whatever the category => change of room with a supplement of 50€ per night (50% covered by the hotel), very narrow staircase for access to the rooms, entrance to this annex building through the uninviting cleaning room, park ravaged by wild boars without any laid out walking path and poorly maintained annexes, very poorly organized breakfast leading to waiting and in the end not much to eat, lack of everything ... brief stay very disappointing.

Holidays ruined because very bad end

-Nobody at the reception at night: I am a single dad with 2 young children (2 and 4 years old). My daughter unfortunately vomited: so we found ourselves without sheets or duvets available. Then just before leaving the premises, my two-year-old son wanted to drink water: in the absence of plastic cups available (apart from those in the bathroom for brushing teeth), we opted for the glass one made available next to the kettle except that this one being larger than those he can usually use, it slipped from his hands and broke at his feet. Still in shock that he could have injured his foot because of all the pieces of glass (because he was barefoot), I was surprised by the reaction of the employee at the reception whom I warned of this incident: SHE THEN ASKED ME TO PAY 16,50 Euros FOR THIS DRINK! I originally thought it was a joke but she insisted and called the manager (owner?) to make me pay. It's not at all a question of price, of course, but I was shocked that they worried about the price of a drink (very expensive by the way) rather than inquiring about my son's health and my dismay. The tension rose and without ever insulting anyone and having inappropriate words in front of my children but certainly still shocked and when I had already paid for this drink and was about to walk through the door, the manager threw me like last word in front of the dumbfounded witnesses at the reception: "we will never accept you again in our home" ... I think that this person does not know how delicate it is to manage a single-parent cell with two young children which can break or damage things in hotels. I had just returned from Club Med and the Mercures and Best Westerns in Vannes, where the staff had more empathy.

+The castle has a particular style which makes its charm; the common rooms are very warmly and nicely decorated with antique furniture, and the meal was excellent. The weather did not allow us to take advantage of the swimming pool... The reception was friendly, and cooperative in resolving a hiccup in the reservation, as in the advice following a mechanical incident on an old car.

-Initial booking gave us mediocre rooms in annex, avoid; luckily this could be repaired, and the rooms in the castle, although curiously facing the road (but what was the architect thinking when he designed this building?) were not noisy (and the passage non-existent).

In charcuterie and cheese only white ham and goat cheese. 1 single homemade cake. Few pastries. The capricious coffee machine. Not worthy of a 4 star. Breakfast the day before 9 euros with more choice.

Even though we were the only family at the hotel, we were wonderfully welcomed and made to feel at ease. The park is beautiful. Lots of outdoor games in good condition. Nice swimming pool. Very pleasant and spacious junior suite room. A reservation about the slow service (in the kitchen) in the restaurant. In short, a good address!!

-An important point the rooms do not have an opening outside the door. (no windows) as soon as it's hot or we leave the door open (my wife doesn't like it too much) or it's a sauna (and here it's me who doesn't like it); But there are not many solutions without major work!

We stayed at this hotel while on a road trip. We are seduced by the magnificent wooded setting and the warm atmosphere of the castle which remains on a human scale. Small flat for the proximity of the road which is unfortunately very noisy. The room was spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom deserves a serious renovation with a shower worthy of the name (bathtub unusable by elderly people, and too much water pressure on the showerhead). Excellent food and efficient and friendly service. Breakfast set back, we would have appreciated a piece of baguette instead of sandwich bread... In summary, very good value for money!

The setting is ideal, both the castle and the park at our disposal. The staff is attentive to our needs, the rooms are very clean and quiet

Establishment to avoid

-Regarding the room, we absolutely did not find the usual standards of a 3*** hotel. We were accommodated in the annex of the castle at the end of September (155,00€ + 2 breakfasts 32,00€= 187,00 ,2€ !!!!!!!Dinner is not included in this amount). The angle of the wall of the room bore blackish traces of humidity on an area of ​​about 1 meters by XNUMX meter, the room was very badly soundproofed, we heard the occupants of the adjoining room talking. The cleaning was insufficient in the bathroom, cobweb near the toilet and accumulation of dust at the level of the radiator. Regarding the restaurant, the vegetables that accompanied the dishes were served cold and were tasteless. The desserts were particularly tasteless. In a word, it is an establishment that I absolutely do not recommend.

Authentic hotel, the castle is very well maintained. The interior is stylishly decorated in symbiosis with the setting. The welcome is cordial, the room spacious, well appointed and the bedding very comfortable. However, the bathroom faucet is not convenient to adjust the temperature and pressure. Big downside to the breakfast. The latter, which is supposed to be served until 10 am in the dining room, is not supplied to meet demand until this time. We arrived at 30:9 a.m. and no pastries were available, the juices were practically empty, the coffee machine out of order... For a place like this, it's quite disappointing, especially for a breakfast at 40€... As for dinner, nothing to say, very satisfactory value for money, dishes prepared with finesse and taste. From appetizers to dessert, we were not disappointed. The room is warm and the service perfectly executed. In short, we enjoyed our stay in this castle and recommend it. A small improvement in the supply of breakfast in order to meet demand until the end of the service would be appreciated.

We enjoyed our night at the castle and we had a very good evening and ate very well. Following an oversight on their part, a commercial gesture was made. I recommand it !
