Quiet rooms on the courtyard side! I put 3/5 because we did not have air conditioning during the hot weather. I find it unfortunate that for a freshly renovated hotel, the (old) air conditioning does not work. We booked 3 rooms that night and none worked (despite our request to the staff who set the thermostat for us…)

-The time on the television was not up to date, in fact it announced winter time when we are in summer time…. I woke up an hour late... and after it was complicated to have breakfast and I was late for my appointment the next day. I hadn't set my cellphone alarm clock… and there was also noise in the street…. when I had asked for a quiet room.

But an infernal noise...we hear the neighbors coughing as if they were in our room, and especially the noises on the Place de la République (cries, bottle, music) Until 3am which completely ruins the stay.

-very good stays but small negative points: these are two single beds/mattresses that are stuck together, we found that a shame, and the large duvet is actually 2 single duvets, hung by a scratch system… noisy and unpleasant
also, the racetrack car park was recommended to us as a free car park 10 minutes walk from the hotel, true, but beware, the next day we found our car in a car park that was closed and we could not get out… ( the day before the horse races the car park is closed in the evening, so we could not park there at night) remember to check the dates of the races displayed at the entrance to the car park!!

Very cramped bathroom. Unable to dry towels. In the morning, we have to make do with wet towels. Where's the comfort?! The shower cubicle closing badly, the bathroom is transformed into a swimming pool!
The choice offered at breakfast is appalling: no seasonal fruit (oranges and apples, there are better), no cheese, no fresh fromage blanc, apart from pastries, no cake or pastry. Overpriced for what is on offer.

+The room was comfortable, quiet. The bed was comfortable, I slept very well. The thermostat was used to adjust the room temperature. The location was perfect for me: close to restaurants, but also to the convention center. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The service was impeccable: the receptionist called me a taxi to leave because I was late, she sent me my bill by email, and all with a smile. The bar is cozy and the prices reasonable.
-The tub wall doesn't fit to the rim causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor.

+The beds were comfortable; the 2 occupied bedrooms (queen size bed for the parental couple and double comfort for our son) were quiet and overlooked the interior courtyard.
The breakfast was plentiful and varied.
-The attic rooms on the 4th floor with a significant loss of space due to the overhangs of the roof between the windows.
Two lukewarm espressos on the 1st day and correct the next day after my complaint.

The hotel is located right in the center 2 steps from everything and it is very easy to park in the evening (more difficult during the day but there is a lot of paid parking around. The bedding is very good.
