-The casual welcome: we looked for 10 minutes for our room T14 which was in fact occupied by the client of the M14. We were relocated to a room of the same standard but less pleasant (an RC on the parking lot instead of a sunny second floor), but above all without a word of apology or any real support. An explanation of the Montespan and Talleyrand buildings would have been welcoming and interesting and would perhaps have avoided what is pro quo. At the restaurant we waited a long time for us to be offered a drink (the appetizers were already on the table…). Polite but stressed or uneven staff Very soft beds, rather opulent decor but soulless. Disappointing meal, wine too hot…. The beauty of the place is not enhanced by the reception but the note is high!

+The building is superb, full of charm. Very pleasant patio with beautiful banana trees, quiet garden for dining or walking, high terrace for sunbathing, swimming pool with a view of the fortress. Very attentive and present staff.

-In the bathroom there is no second mirror, little space to dry towels and no shower curtain or door. I would have appreciated a mini bar.

LUXURY, CALM AND VOLUPTUOUSNESS

+The setting of the hotel is magnificent, the garden so relaxing, and the swimming pool with a view over the rooftops of the village, superb. Very friendly welcome, excellent breakfast. The room rather comfortable, even if a little small, but we had chosen a first price.

-There were cobwebs on the ceiling in the bedroom (large ones) and in the bathroom. The ceilings are quite high but there are wolves .... too bad for a 3 star. The shower has no curtain so you tend to get water all over the bathroom. Otherwise, it is really a very pleasant establishment!!

Relaxing stay

+Very large room (we had the room for disabled people). No air conditioning but a fan. Kettle. Very pleasant hotel with garden, secure swimming pool and sunbathing area. Very nice restaurant and delicious food. Not for small budgets. We appreciated not being bothered by housekeeping.

-A mini fridge should be provided. What was very annoying was the continual engine noise and the church bells ringing every hour and half hour. Wifi network very difficult to capture and little network in the village.

Pleasant overnight stay before the Merguez Tuning Show at the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit

+Fabulous setting in the heart of a very pretty village. Our rooms (113 and 114) were very spacious. The swimming pool is pleasant as is the very pretty garden. The bar and the restaurant delighted us. Really lovely staff from reception to checkout.

-All the bulbs in the rooms are cold white led bulbs and it's just HORRIBLE while the style is warm, the lighting annihilates everything. Run away from room 114! The toilets are simply unusable due to the smallness of the room and the elevation of the toilet. What's more, the door is at the foot of the bed without any privacy. An airplane toilet is more spacious. Months before our stay, we had requested two very specific rooms by providing pictures of the rooms we wanted. Unfortunately only one of the two was assigned to us (unlucky for us, it was 114).
