The morning of our departure (at 8:30 a.m.) we had to wait half an hour for the night watchman (in the absence of the receptionist) to issue our bill, including 2 Euros for a filthy coffee.

I recently stayed at the Mercure Vichy Thermalia hotel and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the establishment. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by warm and professional staff who were able to answer all my questions and help me settle into my room. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable. I particularly appreciated the quality bedding which allowed me to spend peaceful and restorative nights. In addition, the room was equipped with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay, such as a flat screen TV, a minibar and free Wi-Fi. As for the hotel facilities, I was impressed with the quality of the spa pool. The water was warm and soothing, and I really enjoyed being able to relax in this peaceful environment. Additionally, the hotel also has a well-equipped fitness center, which allowed me to maintain my workout routine during my stay. The rooms are dated, the carpets are stained and/or discolored, I am quite disappointed with this service compared to the number of stars displayed. The breakfast is good with diversity in the products and these are fresh. The room staff is very professional, as long as relations at reception are a little more complicated.

3 weeks in training, I was not staying in this hotel, on the other hand, I ate every lunchtime at the hotel brasserie and I spent the training days in the room. We sometimes have the feeling of having to deal with incompetent people and sometimes with people who have no motivation. At the bar, even a tomato juice is a problem...without celery salt, without tabasco. We purchased a deal which also included evening meals. And there really, the restaurant is of mediocre quality, no choice and a lot of lack on the little offered. Friendly staff but seem overwhelmed by a far from full room. The quality of the food is correct but very simple, like in a boarding house which is generally much warmer and the meals tastier. In short, a 4-star hotel worth 2 and a low-end restaurant, we can only advise against it, especially since the thermal baths of the Domes may be very good for spa guests, but when you open your structure for well-being stays, it It is unthinkable to find a jacuzzi for 3, a sauna for 6 and a steam room out of order with still a more than relative quality of reception.
