The food is very good, from the appetizer to the dessert through a succulent main course. We started with an octopus carpaccio, followed by a suckling pig and its potatoes, and finally a very good dessert (mystery and strawberry). As for the red wine, delicious. The champagne is at the perfect temperature, and it is also very good. We highly recommend. The reception is really good. You feel out of time on the terrace which is simply very well appointed, quiet. Enough distance between the tables… and nice little touches including a candle for the birthday! Thank you It was great!

+The comfort of the room, we were upgraded and had a room with a superb view of Bordeaux. The exteriors and in particular the pool area are still just as beautiful.
-Some details to review for an establishment of this class: the outdoor terrace not very clean. Dirt on the sofas, exterior not swept, tables not cleared at cocktail hour. And in the restaurant, we had a long wait before starting the meal (which was quite exceptional!).

The small downside: the hotel was full and the staff overwhelmed, we had access to our room only late around 16:30 p.m. We had arrived since noon, which is still annoying. However, we were able to fulfill our expectations in their magnificent swimming pool. Sauna and hammam are also very pleasant. Everything is new. For the room we did not have access to the upgrade, although we were entitled to it, because the hotel was completely full. But that's part of the game. However, the manager placed us in a very pretty 25m2 room with a very beautiful view of the Fountain. In addition, they had a bottle brought up to the room for the occasion of our visit, which is a very appreciable gesture. The bedding is perfect, we sleep particularly well. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, of an excellent standard, expressing themselves in a very nice way. We thank them, as well as the concierge and the valet service, all very competent. We had a very nice stay in this house.

-The breakfast in the room really very cheap, the abominably “black” tea, we ask for toast, we are given 2! Absolutely zero.

February 12, 2023 at 6:26 amI had the opportunity to discover the Saint James Paris recently and I must say that it was an incredible experience! This trendy and classy place offers a truly exceptional and original decoration that immediately puts you in the mood.
Went there for a drink and was not disappointed! The cocktails were delicious and well presented, with quality ingredients and original mixes. Sure, I lifted my little finger while enjoying my drink!
The prices may seem a little steep to some, but that's the price to pay for such a chic and glamorous experience. After all, who doesn't want to feel like a VIP once in a while?
The place is really beautiful, with a perfect mix of modernity and tradition. You really feel transported to another time and another place, which is very pleasant for a relaxing evening. ️
The staff were also very professional and attentive which added to the overall experience. They were always there to make sure we had a good time and to advise us on the best cocktails to choose from.
In summary, I highly recommend the Saint James Paris to anyone looking for a trendy and classy place to have a drink or spend a relaxing evening.

+The architecture of the hotel is magnificent (Jean Nouvel) – a real success. Superb room, beautiful view, beautiful swimming pool overlooking the vineyards. The restaurant is excellent, quite worthy of its Michelin star.
-Our room showed some signs of aging: damaged plaster on the ceiling, the bottom of the wooden bed to be restored… Too bad at this level of price and standing. Our departure was clouded a bit by an error made on the bill (charged for two glasses of wine that we had never ordered at the restaurant) – an error is always possible but the person at the reception looked at us with a suspicious and embarked on long checks, bordering on politeness, to finally find the error... The service in the restaurant is fast, but sometimes hasty: very little time devoted to the description of the dishes, and a few errors due to precipitation. The wines by the glass are not up to par.

The bar is also accessible to customers not staying at the hotel.
Very nice experience at the library bar of the Saint James hotel! All staff are highly friendly and knowledgeable. The clientele is exquisite and the bar splendid with its shelves filled with thousands of books.
As for the hotel, the building is also incredible day and night, with its lighting.
Its location a little out of the way in the 16th district makes it a preserved gem.

-Nothing in particular because everything is done to ensure you the best stay...perhaps it should be noted that Bouliac is a very small town and that the evenings when the restaurant is legitimately closed offers only few possibilities on site...but nothing It's forbidden to take your car to get away and find a good Regional restaurant.

+The welcome and the very friendly staff, the calm, the panoramic view of all of Bordeaux from room 19, the Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant.
-Industrial orange juice at breakfast, quite disconcerting for a 5-star chateau hotel, problem with the right bay window of the bedroom, the closing latch needs to be repaired because it does not close.

+Perfect welcome. The view from the hotel is nice and it is located in a beautiful little village. The hotel was almost empty and we were very kindly upgraded for this overnight stopover.
-The room, in a very, very bare style, looks like a room in a clinic! It's a concept…to which we are absolutely not sensitive. And then why switches so low and beds so high? Amazing. We would have had trouble spending several nights there…despite perfect comfort.
Breakfast price (28 euros) a bit exaggerated!
