Do not go to the restaurant the menu is extremely expensive and reduced when you are there 2 to 3 dishes are no longer available. The breakfast is ok. Investment absolutely necessary !!!

Regarding dinner, too much waiting, 1h30 for 1 dish and 1 dessert!
Finally, at breakfast, we had to bear the moving of the room (moving of the tables…).
For sure I will not recommend this hotel to friends.

Nevertheless, nice professional reaction from the staff concerned.

Our room was very clean and very pleasant.
The breakfast and the catering was very good, both in terms of service and in the plate.
The setting was breathtaking.
We also did two 30 minute treatments. Thank you girls, we had a really soothing and relaxing time.
Finally, the welcome is friendly and smiling.

November 12, 2022 at 10:39 amvery warm welcome, the hotel has aged but remains very pleasant and well located. The bedding is at the top and the breakfast that we were able to take on the terrace is very generous.
Only one downside, the address indicated on our booking confirmation that our GPS misinterpreted. However, it is accurate and you just have to stay on the main street to find the hotel.
We will come back to it if we have the opportunity. The prices are quite reasonable

December 14, 2022 at 12:20 pmI stayed in this establishment one night, we had access to the spa (15th per person for 30 minutes), it was not hot enough and no one cleared the leftover drinks and petit fours from the previous couple, I think it should be included in the price of the room and the person at the spa area should be more friendly and answer our questions! We had the impression of disturbing her.
The pool area could have been nice but way too crowded and the pool way too cold for a supposedly heated pool.
Regarding the rooms, a major refresh is necessary for the mercury standard and to be in line with the room rate. (non-existent air conditioning)
Nothing to say about the breakfast, very good value for money.

This hotel offers a lot of things for the region: two swimming pools, a spa, steam room sauna, a billiard table, a ping-pong table, a shaded terrace and a smaller one in the sun, a fitness room. Close to several points of interest and restaurants. Enough to stay a week without problem.
Beds are so comfortable.
-Parking: not easy on weekends in high season, especially to unload suitcases.
Toilet paper (probably the first time I notice this kind of detail).
The additional room furniture (a chair and a stool) is not necessary due to the size of the room.

An invasion of small black spiders (1 cm in diameter) throughout the establishment: footbath, corridors, dining room, bar and also in our room at the end of the stay. There must be a nest in the hotel. Well, it must be rather exceptional and can happen in any establishment.
The menu is quite small, but okay, we are in post covid and this is quite common in the region.

The building, like others in the lower town, leaves no one indifferent, especially the dining room and the bar. In general, fans of Wes Anderson or Stanley Kubrick will appreciate the atmosphere and the architecture, legacies of the city's former strong spa activity.
-The advantage of hotel chains is that a minimum standard is always guaranteed for each establishment. With regard to the Mercury of Saint-Nectaire, it is indeed this minimum which is assured.
Despite the high season, the hotel seemed completely empty of all life and time seemed to have stopped: the outdoor swimming pool with leaves and dead insects in the water, the restaurant closed the two days of our presence, …
The hotel is located in the lower town which, apart from restaurants, souvenir shops and a casino, is of little interest. You have to climb the drop to find yourself in the upper (and historic) town of Saint-Nectaire and thus appreciate all its riches.
The SPA proposals are pleasant but nothing more. The prices are high compared to the service.
