Our request had been met, two bedrooms upstairs and quiet, with good bedding. Perfect cleanliness of these during our eight nights spent in the establishment.
Decent breakfast. Person employed in this function, professional and careful that nothing is ever missing.

The hotel is extremely well located, right in the city center and next to the train stations. Comfortable bedding, clean room, but very small, very simple, not very well soundproofed. All the hotels in Lille were very expensive for this Pentecost weekend, this one a little less than the others but still well beyond my usual budget.

Indeed the personal is friendly and attentive but several negative points are present.
The first night the room was filled with mosquitoes. After killing them all, there were as many in the room when you woke up (and without having opened the window in the meantime). Fortunately, the problem hardly reoccurred the other nights.
Regarding the room, it was relatively small. There was barely enough room to turn around the bed. The view faced a wall and office windows with a bird's eye view of the bedroom (a pair of daytime curtains would be a big plus). For the bed linen, the latter was not replaced despite my request (sheet provided for this purpose placed on the pillow), the same for the bath towels.
Level of cleanliness is a bit limited. The mattress was not protected (the presence of a mattress topper does not exclude the protection of the mattress which was still visible and on which we noticed a little dust and hair...), the walls and ceiling had several traces of crushed insects and the floor was not very clean.
To end on a good note, we can note its very good location (close to public transport and the center of Lille).

The staff is very welcoming. we appreciated the lobby with unlimited tea and coffee and a place to play games. the breakfast buffet with anti-waste options (jam and spread in jars like at home) is very good too. I forgot to mention the bedding and the beds which were superb. we will go back there.

-Breakfast too simplistic especially for an "Ibis Style" I expected better and above all more choice for having already been in other establishments of the same brand...and this despite the Covid which does not excuse the too short choice …it looked just like a normal “Ibis” and again (no big bread, no brioche, almost non-existent dried fruit, limited range of jams…).

+Beautiful location to discover the historic city center-very comfortable hotel and above all very clean with regard to Covid-19 (we were very reassured). A good breakfast, very well organized with choice and TB also for compliance with health rules (we appreciated “the wooden chopsticks” for the service) – and finally a very attentive staff who are keen to provide you with all the information on visits, good addresses….simply thank you! (nb very quiet too)
-there I don't see….ah maybe the difficult accessibility of certain parking spaces dedicated to hotel guests…

+The staff was attentive, professional and always courteous. Hearty breakfast, with squeezed orange juice and a wide time slot – but 10 people maximum per 1/2 hour. The location is impeccable, 2 minutes walk from the city center.
-A few parking spaces must be reserved as soon as possible via the hotel, otherwise you will have to rush to the surrounding car parks: the closest is the one called “Opéra”, 3 minutes walk from the hotel (€14.80 for 24 hours, but no elevator).
We were on the 7th floor: be careful, elevator to the 6th then stairs to finish.
The VMC and the hairdryer made a very annoying regular noise.
No particular view from the rooms and sometimes quite noisy in the evening.

-The room is a bit small and so is the bathroom. We're too tight.
The breakfast is not exceptional. There are a lot of things on offer but here too we have the impression that the choice is small. The egg machine is unreliable on the cooking timing, no scrambled egg, no bacon,… There are not enough things to have a real breakfast.
