Small downside the room, very very poorly insulated, we hear the other people arriving and slamming their doors, disturbing especially when its a whole group arriving at midnight. Room a bit small when you have clostrophobic and the TV changes language depending on the movie or the show. Otherwise the bed is perfect good bedding.
The swimming pool is also great despite the fact that the water is a little cold for me, this is due to the heat of our body, which is normal. The only downside is having to cross the dining room to reach the room in a bathing suit.

I had a room on the road side and it was very noisy during the 2 days (Wednesday evening and Thursday evening): you can hear the cars nearby, luckily I had my earplugs. I got up to see if the window was properly closed. The hotel is pleasant but noisy but very well located 300 meters from the Caen memorial.

-The rooms are small and poorly equipped (no USB socket), the shower panel is in the wrong place, the decor is from another era. When I arrived, a bad smell reigned in the obviously poorly ventilated room. The staff members are dilettante, not attentive, vulgar in their exchanges with each other in front of the customers, the quality of the meal is mediocre as is the breakfast. Breakfast tables are not cleaned after each guest. Arrived at 8:30am, struggled to find a clean one. We sink into the chairs in the dining room.

+Very friendly welcome, excellent restaurant, decent breakfast, bar accessible at all times. Easy parking (when there is space). Close to amenities (petrol station ⛽️, restaurants, store, etc.), a stone's throw from Bird Hill (magnificent wooded park for walking).
-Bath and no shower. Lack of a socket at the head of the bed. Needs a little refreshment, everyone has to work, but there was a symposium over 2 days and it was very noisy (even late at night). No space in the parking lot…
But I hope it's an accident or an oversight, but when cleaning our room the door was left wide open with all our belongings and valuables in full view of everyone. (A chance nothing has disappeared).

The welcome, and the bedding – charming and welcoming good quality bedding
However – a site that “sells” you a restaurant open all year round for lunch and dinner and a swimming pool
And none of that for us – the swimming pool is closed and no restaurants while a group will be entitled to meals during their seminar
The bedrooms and the bathroom could do with a good refresh – and can someone explain to me why the shower screen is the opposite of the shower head?
And for someone strong like me – not easy to pass through the small space between the shower screen and the wall
Saturday evening we are shown the city center for dinner – and a great hassle to find a place to park. We landed more than a kilometer from the center
For breakfast – there is what it takes
But always with the seminarians – a lot of noise and difficult access to the buffet because they park in front and discuss
So on paper it's a 3 star but in fact, no.

+The room was clean, spacious with a large bathtub. Ideal for taking a bath and decompressing. The beds were comfortable and the pillows as well.
The breakfast was plentiful and there was a choice.
-The only downside is the bathroom. The ergonomics of the bathroom is a bit poorly thought out. The glass panel is of little or no use when ok is taking a shower. In addition, an opening that one side of the bathtub showed humidity and small flying insects wandered from this place.

May 22, 2023 at 11:18 amWe are told 95€ for a room which seems good for a hotel with a swimming pool in the end, 110€ for the room without a swimming pool and again we were entitled to a discount on a breakfast. For the swimming pool we were warned the day before our departure. At the level of the room the toilets were very dirty, black and yellowed by time, the shower installed anyhow once we took one we have access to the swimming pool directly in the room. The walls were dirty and with holes and also the curtains closed badly. The only good points are the bed which is comfortable and the pleasant staff. Conclusion it is absolutely not worth the price paid rather very disappointing for a 3 star.

Access to the swimming pool which I could not take advantage of but I will not forget my bathing suit next time.
The dinner was very good. On the other hand, small problem with the chairs that sink (maybe add cushions) which meant that I was a little low to eat.
A very quiet night in quality bedding.
Hearty and very good continental breakfast.
In short, not much to say, I will return with my eyes closed.

-On the other hand, we were not able to eat in the evening at the hotel on the grounds that it was no longer possible: dry and effortless refusal to find a solution without any real explanations, whereas the day before we had no problems despite a busy room!
Fire alarm triggered at 6 am for no apparent reason: so can't wait to leave!!!
